Sunday, May 19 – Arrival in Yellowstone!

The freezer was stuffed in the trailer with care,
And Yellowstone beckoned; we soon would be there.

Sorry. Couldn’t help it.

As the sun set Saturday evening we began remembering things we should have picked up at Costco, but forgot. Just as well considering the freezer wouldn’t hold even another ice cube.

Sunday we were up at 7 and packed up and on the road by 9:40. And it rained. And rained. By the time we made West Yellowstone around noon the sun was out and soon we were passing through the west gate of Yellowstone. Strange as it sounds, it felt like coming home.

This was the scene that greeted us as we gained in elevation on our way to the employee campground:

We’ll check in at Human Resources on Tuesday.

The adventure begins.
